My Vision

I am of Viking descent and the more time, love & heart I put into making Wire Art and Jewelry or “spinning straw into gold” as I like to call it, I feel more connected to my Ancestors.

I focus on creating beautiful Nordic inspired works of Jewelry & Art, strong enough to last a lifetime! Works of Art that will stay nice over time and can be handed down to Children and Grandchildren. This craft has become what I love, even my therapy! Unique, handmade Jewelry & Art that symbolizes our Viking heritage.

I have always loved working with my hands and thankfully, I am blessed to be good at it. After many life lessons, I have found a deep love of all things Metal and Metal Art which eventually led me to Chainmaille, Wire Weaving, Metal soldering and hammering. My Vision is to simply continue doing what I Love and share it with all.

I am from Viking heritage which inspires me to incorporate the Viking Wire Weaving techniques anywhere I can. I love to make Pendants, Bracelets, Earrings, Costume clothing with Chainmaille and Viking Art. My ultimate goal is to create useable, wearable Jewelry Art that will last many lifetimes. Something that you can pass on rather than toss because it broke. Many new and fun projects keep me busy, happy and most importantly, I am in my element. I am at peace, doing what I love.

Fun Facts

The technique I Love & use is called Trichinopoly, sometimes called Wire Weaving, Wire Knitting, or Viking Knit. This produces beautiful chains documented to multiple ages and cultures, useful for necklaces, adorning clothing, and for practical use.

Viking knit chain can be traced back 1,300 years to days when Vikings would use long pieces of silver or gold wire to weave ropes. The ropes were then stretched and made into jewelry for Viking leaders.

Viking knit is the oldest form of jewelry making known to date. Examples of it have been found at archaeological sites all over the world. Pieces found at a site in Scandinavia are where this technique's name originates. Viking knit is less like knitting and more like nalbinding. It is an extremely time consuming process, a true labor of love!
